Living Compassionately

Proud of Myself…

2006

I'm proud of myself for the following during the year 2006:

     – Joined my sister and friends in having a book list, my personal goal is to read a book a month.

     – I started walking (and sometimes running mixed in) three times a week.

     – I taught myself to like yogurt.  I have tried to eat yogurt for years because it's a easy quick snack, but always hated it.  This year I told myself I was going to learn to eat it.  Now I crave my morning yogurt and feel deprived if I don't have it!

     – I have LONG nails!  My entire life I have been a nail biter.  I gave it up a month before Lent so I could have a manicure out with my girlfriends, but I really had intended to give it up for Lent.  As of almost July of 2006, I STILL have my nails.  I've tried many times, but this time I've actually kept with it.  I still (rarely) pick at my nails, but I haven't lost a nail completely yet.
