January’s Selection – The Poisonwood Bible – pure poison, I completely and totally disliked this book.
February’s Selection – The Notebook – lovely romantic story, wonderfully written
March’s Selection – The Wedding – fantastic, I loved this one even more than The Notebook. I’d love to see this as a movie, if they really stuck to the book’s storyline.
April’s Selection – church doctrine, and my stack of Real Simple magazines – it felt good to get these started and get the magazines out of my living space.
May’s Selection – The Ecology of Commerce - VERY long book, still reading, I hope to get it done and read a quick book before the end of June, so I’ll still be on track. STILL READING, I’ve decided it will be a book I read for the rest of my life. It will be a life goal to finish it. Holy moly it’s long. But I don’t allow myself to not finish books, it just may take me the rest of my life.
June’s Selection – “The Five People You Meet In Heaven” – Thank goodness for a fast and enjoyable read. After last month’s selection, this is a breeze and I don’t want to put it down. I’m not done yet, but I still plan to have it done by the end of June!
Well thank goodness I got it done during June. I thought the concept of this book was great. I wasn’t as impressed as I’d expected. I had to reread the Fourth and Fifth lessons to find them. I probably was just too tired and didn’t catch on, but this may be a book I reread later in life to get more out of it.
July’s Selection – “Suzanne’s Diary for Nicholas” – I love to read fast-read books. I devoured this and was done by July 7th. I thought it was good, but wasn’t thrilled at the end. I think I’ll reread some parts and it might be better.

Great idea… I’ll add my book of the month to yours so we can update one another
Comment by Jacks June 15, 2006 @ 1:26 pmI’ve got two going on right now… “How Full Is Your Bucket” and “Light on Snow”. Both are good. The first is a business book, and about communicating in a positive way to increase the productivity in your work environment. The second is a book from my Aunt D, and so far is great… it’s an adventure of a Father & daughter after a tragic turn of events.
